Direct Cremation
This is a funeral where family and friends do not attend the cremation itself. Cremation fee included [1]

Chapel Service
This is a funeral where family and friends have a ceremony or service for the deceased person at our Chapel of Rest prior to an unattended cremation. Cremation fee included.

Attended Funeral
This is a funeral where family and friends have a ceremony, event or service for the deceased person at the same time as they attend their burial or cremation.[1]

[1] In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you will usually need to pay doctors’ fees as well. This is the charge for a doctor to sign the Medical Certificates for Cremation.
Assistance with funeral costs available
You can get a Funeral Expenses Payment if all of the following apply:
- you get certain benefits or tax credits
- you meet the rules on your relationship with the deceased
- you’re arranging a funeral in the UK, the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland
You may be able to get Bereavement Support Payment if your partner died in the last 21 months and was under State Pension age. (not means tested)
You must claim within 3 months of your partner’s death to get the full amount. You can claim up to 21 months after their death but you’ll get fewer monthly payments.
